Knitique in Elk Grove, CA

June 2nd, 2007

From time to time, it has been pointed out to me that I try to pack a lot of living in to a small amount of time. Such was the case with Elk Grove’s Knitique shop! I flew up to Sacramento, rented a car, drove to Joan McGowan Michael’s house to interview her for PKP (the vlog to come….) and then drove on to Knitique for a waaaaaay too fun hang with the gang there! Then I drove at breakneck speed to catch my flight back to la la land. Just made it in the nick of time! But ya know what? I coulda spent a LOT more knittin’, hangin’ time with the babes at Knitique. What a fun bunch!!!

I knew it was going to be a crazy night when these two turned up and were simply sooooo hilarious and wild and …yes, Michelle and Carin…I’m talkin’ about YOU!

The night carried on with Alicia modeling many of the garments:

The Billion Dollar Hat was a hit:

And the Banshee Over-The-Knee-Hi’s were reinvented as sleeves:

The vibe was great and there were two of us…Cher and Share alike!!! Everytime someone said one of our names…we both looked up and then looked at each other and laughed endlessly. Instant friends with my namesake,…these photos are ALL from her except for the one above of her modeling the sleeve. Thank you Cher!!!

The night ended way too quickly and I said my goodbyes…Thank you Danielle for a fabulous event!

Hooray for good press. They say there’s no such thing as bad press…but ya know…I’ve been down that road and it isn’t nearly as fun as good press.

So without further ado…..

April 24th, 2007

Wow! We almost got arrested which makes it soooooo rock n roll. We almost got rained on….but it didn’t stop anyone from having a great time! Three bands played, The Foundation, Killola and our band, Bubble. Plus the fashion show was off the hook. I promise to post photos in the next day or two…but now….I must crash out from the day of complete madness and mayhem. Ahhh…doncha love chaos?

Oh…and NOW…now I really feel like the book is out. he he.
